Anpario made a significant £1.29 million investment in our production facilities situated at our head office in Manton Wood. Over 20 different projects were undertaken focusing on increasing both production efficiency and capacity, many of which included specific changes to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment.
Approximately one quarter of the total investment has been targeted at sustainable projects. These specifically align with our aspiration to move our operations towards Net Zero and ensure sustainable targets continue to be achieved in the future.
Projects which support business continuity and production efficiency, alongside the implementation of new manufacturing lines, have made up the bulk of the investments in 2021. These will play a vital role in maintaining the high service levels experienced by existing Anpario customers and ensures this is maintained as the business continues to expand.
Projects across these areas included; installation of intelligent lighting across the site, the fitting of solar panels for supply of solar energy, as well as an upgrade to our state-of-the-art bottling plant capabilities. Furthermore, business continuity was supported by the implementation of a new delivery system to provide efficient production and meet growing demand of our recently launched Optomega Algae product.
