The Board and Executive team of Anpario plc were delighted to welcome Sir John Peace, Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, staff, and guests to a special event earlier this month, where Sir John made the official presentation of The King’s Award for Enterprise to the company. Sir John, who is the King’s representative within the region, declared his pleasure to be awarding one of the first King’s Awards to Anpario, and reflecting that he had previously had the privilege of awarding The Queen’s Award for International Trade to the business in 2015.
Announced in April 2023, Anpario was one of 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise, 15 of which received the award for Sustainable Development. The King’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s most prestigious business accolade, designed to recognise and encourage the achievements of UK businesses.
Sir John addressed the assembled staff and congratulated them on the achievement, stating the effort and determination required to demonstrate the required award criteria and obtain measurable success, should not be underestimated. Before finishing his address Sir John commented “that if the King himself were present today, I would imagine he would encourage you all to “Get on and do more”. Economic conditions globally are strained, but you are setting a positive example of what can be achieved – keep going”.
Chairman Matthew Robinson received the award on behalf of Anpario plc addressing staff and guests by stating, “The award recognises the efforts of all our staff worldwide; we are all committed to delivering operational excellence and driving innovation within the business for the benefit of our stakeholders, and customers worldwide.” Matthew noted “That only by embedding Anpario’s 3 pillars of “Our People, Our Planet, Our Promise” into the everyday functioning of the business achieves the type of change needed for a more sustainable future for all”.
