Anpario staff volunteered their time to work on the Rainbow Garden Memorial at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH). With an ambitious timeline, and a target to open at the end of this week (Friday 25th September), it was a case of all hands-on deck. Although it was a soggy few days, smiles were aplenty and great progress was made. We look forward to seeing the finished garden can’t wait for it to be completed and used as a safe-haven for reflection, commemoration and enjoyment.

Back in June fund raising began at DBTH with the goal of raising funds for two relaxing and therapeutic spaces in honour of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic over the last 6 months. Sadly, two NHS staff members from the hospital, Kevin Smith and Dr Medhat Atalla passed away earlier in the year due to complications as a result of the illness.

Anpario plc donated £10,000 to the ‘Rainbow Garden Appeal’, and in less than eight weeks a huge £40,000 was raised.

Richard Edwards, CEO of Anpario plc, commented “Anpario recognises the heroic contribution made by NHS staff and key workers in the fight to manage and control the virus. As a way of expressing our thanks and to give back to our local communities, in which a large number of our workforce reside, we were delighted to announce the £10,000 donation to this charity.”
