Anpario plc has donated £10,000 to the Nottingham Hospitals Charity and an additional £10,000 to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity.

The contribution by the international producer and distributor of natural feed additives for animal health, hygiene and nutrition, will go towards the #NottinghamNHSHeroes Appeal run by Nottingham Hospitals Charity and also towards the Rainbow Garden Appeal run by Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH).

Nigel Gregory, Director of Development at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re so grateful to Anpario for this donation, which will be used to support the hard-working NHS staff at our hospitals during these challenging times. It is thanks to donations like this that we are able to provide extra wellbeing facilities and support for hospital staff at this busy time.”

As part of the emergency #NottinghamNHSHeroes appeal, £275,000 has been raised and two staff wellbeing centres – one at City Hospital and one at the Queen’s Medical Centre – have been created. These safe havens are for staff members to relax and unwind for a short time during challenging shifts. This contribution will help to meet the demand for a third wellbeing centre and sleep pods for NHS workers that need to rest after a long shift.

DBTH are seeking to raise funds which will go towards the charity’s Rainbow Garden Appeal, which aims to create to memorial gardens in honour of those lost to COVID-19. These spaces will provide a space of comfort and contemplation for the friends, family and loved ones of those who have sadly passed away, as well as for staff working within the hospitals.

Emma Shaheen, Head of Communications and Engagement at DBTH said: “As a Trust we cannot thank Anpario enough for their generosity. By donating £10,000, the single largest amount to-date we have received, they have contributed almost a third of our overall stretch target of £35,000, allowing us to get work underway much earlier than anticipated.”

Richard Edwards CEO of Anpario plc, commented “Anpario recognises the heroic contribution made by NHS staff and key workers in the fight to manage and control the virus. As a way of expressing our thanks and to give back to our local communities, in which a large number of our workforce reside, we are delighted to announce the two £10,000 donations to these charities.”
